Music icon Busta Rhymes, Grammy nominee GloRilla, and many others are expected to headline the “Musicians on Musicians” event organized by Rolling Stone and partners at the historic Apollo Theater.

According to organizers, the November 22 event will feature “intimate live performances” as well as lively discussions moderated by a top television host.

It will also celebrate “the intersection of genres and the power of music and culture” and plans to honor the rich cultural heritage of Black artists in music and their impact on American culture.

“Musicians have an incredible way of inspiring each other,” Gus Wenner, CEO of Rolling Stone, said about the show.

“With talents like Busta Rhymes, GloRilla, Brittany Howard, and Doechii, we’ll see the power of collaboration and innovation through an event like Musicians on Musicians.

“Each of these unique artists will shine onstage, bringing out the best in each other and providing a night of unforgettable music and conversation,” the CEO added and expressed excitement about the stars.

Kamilah Forbes, Executive Producer of The Apollo, described the event as a “unique opportunity” to celebrate  dynamic talents and to “honor the impact and enduring legacy of Black creativity.”

“At The Apollo, we believe in the transformative power of art and collaboration and can’t wait to see how these remarkable and fearless artists connect and our audience,” the producer added.

Tickets for the show started selling on Friday, November 1, 2024.

In November 2023, the multi-dimensional American rapper Busta Rhymes roped in Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy on the single called Roboshotta.

The party-like hip-hop production gained attention, with fans commending the duo for the mega collaboration, released in the final week of November 2023.

Characteristic of both artistes, they poured enough energy into the song, which was laced with in-depth rap artistry and deep sound and bass effects.

Busta Rhymes, at the time, described working with the Burna Boy as one of the “most incredible moments” of his life.

In May this year, Mr Rhymes shared a picture of himself sitting courtside at the New York Knicks game against the Indiana Pacers, recently showing off his slimmed-down physique.

The legendary music artiste previously discussed his weight loss journey during an interview with Men’s Health back in 2023.

He explained at the time that he suffered a health scare after getting intimate with his ex-wife.
