Naturi Naughton is supporting her Power co-star, Omari Hardwick, after show producer 50 Cent shared his belief that the actor “overvalues himself.”
During an interview with TMZ, Naughton, who played Tasha throughout the show’s six-season run and also appeared on “Power Book II: Ghost,” expressed her support for Hardwick, calling 50’s assessment of her co-star “insane.”
“That’s insane to me,” the actress said of Jackson’s claim that Hardwick overvalues himself.
“Omari is, literally, the epitome of power. Omari Hardwick started this amazing journey, and I don’t know all of what happened with 50 and O.”
She went on to state; I’ll say this: I love Omari Hardwick; he’s an amazingly talented human, and he’s also a good person, but there would be no power without Ghost, right? So, I hope that they can find love and peace between each other because much love to 50 and O.”
Naturi Naughton also addressed Hardwick’s previous claims about how much he was paid during the Starz drama’s run.
He told “The Pivot Podcast” that he made $150,000 per episode, explaining that he doesn’t think he’s been paid what he’s worth.
Naturi agreed with Hardwick’s previous claims when asked if she thinks the cast “made a pretty decent penny.”
She responded by saying, “I definitely do.”
For her part, Naughton doesn’t have an issue, but she however recognizes that her situation is different than Hardwick’s and confirms that she had no complaints when it came to her payment.
However, 50 Cent wasted no time responding to the actress’ comment, writing on Instagram, “I was minding my business, then here we go again! SMH 🤨 I don’t have a problem with a problem; do we have a problem?”
