R&B singer R Kelly is fervently denying recent allegations of sexual abuse made by his daughter, Buku Abi, in the documentary Karma: A Daughter’s Journey.
The 26-year-old, whose legal name is Joanne Kelly, claimed in the documentary that her father had inappropriately touched her when she was a child, an accusation that has sent shockwaves through both his family and the public.
In the wake of these allegations, R Kelly’s attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, spoke publicly to defend her client, strongly asserting that the singer denies all claims.
Bonjean, who appeared on News Nation’s Banfield, pointed out that a version of this allegation had surfaced years ago through Abi’s mother and had been thoroughly investigated by Illinois authorities.
At the time, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) determined that the claims were unfounded, and no charges were ever brought against Kelly.

Bonjean disclosed that the singer is deeply hurt by the accusations but remains committed to his love for his children. According to Bonjean, Kelly is angry but heartbroken, mourning the further deterioration of his relationship with Abi.
