The longstanding mystery surrounding the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur continues to stir fresh speculation, as his brother Mopreme Shakur has cast doubt on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ repeated denial of involvement.
Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Mopreme addressed rumors linking the music mogul to 2Pac’s death—rumors that have circulated for decades.
During the interview, Piers Morgan referred to a controversial 2008 Los Angeles Times article, which claimed Diddy and The Notorious B.I.G. had prior knowledge of the attack that claimed ‘Pac’s life.
Although the article was later retracted, it has continued to fuel conspiracy theories and comments from artists like 50 Cent and Eminem. In response, Diddy firmly denied any involvement, describing the accusations as lies and reiterating that neither he nor Biggie had any knowledge of the shooting.
However, when Morgan asked Mopreme if he believed Diddy’s statement was honest, the brother of the late rapper expressed skepticism. He shared that, in his opinion, Diddy’s denial might not have been entirely truthful. Mopreme went a step further, admitting that it’s becoming harder to accept Diddy’s account as entirely genuine.

He also recounted a phone conversation he had with the Bad Boys Record CEO following the publication of the L.A. Times article, in which Diddy insisted he had no role in Tupac’s death. Mopreme told Morgan that, during the call, he made it clear to Diddy that the truth had yet to come out, and now, almost three decades later, those doubts still linger.
The resurfaced rumors about Diddy’s alleged involvement in the murder have gained traction, particularly due to claims made by Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis.
Keefe, a former Compton Crip, was recently charged with 2Pac’s murder and previously claimed that Diddy offered him $1 million to kill both 2Pac and Death Row Records’ CEO Suge Knight.
