Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek know too well that the camera never stops rolling when it comes to stars on a red carpet.

An incident that happened at the recent Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week in September has gone viral this week.

The video of the two women engaging in an awkward exchange, left fans puzzled online.

It showed Hayek trying to turn Nicole toward her with her hand but pushing her hands away then turning to kiss pop star, Katy Perry.

Despite a video that went viral this week showing the pair’s awkward interaction at Paris Fashion Week, Salma Hayek posted a picture of them together on her Instagram page writing,

“Finally last night the grand finale of my Paris Fashion Week 2025… “Balenciaga and Demna for a terrific show,” Hayek wrote in the caption.

This post, however, didn’t stop some fans online from speculating what they think Kidman said.

According to online lip readers, Nicole Kidman said, “Don’t touch me,” although that is not clear nor confirmed.

Social media users quickly took sides, with some believing Hayek was in the wrong and should not be touching Kidman, while others suggested Kidman was rude and her attitude was a problem.

Some fans are even speculating that Salma Hayek might influence fashion brands to cut ties with Nicole Kidman as the video exposes some sort of tension between the two big Hollywood stars.

Nicole Kidman was in December 2023, announced as a brand ambassador for Balenciaga.

It is interesting to note that a brand under a big umbrella of luxury goods company now known as Kering that Hayek’s husband, François-Henri Pinault, took over from his father in 2005, owns several brands, including Balenciaga.
