Top5 is a Drake ride-or-die kind of guy, and when he was let out of jail, the first thing he did was figure out how to take on parts of Drake’s war.
As an ardent follower of Drake, he seems to have no trouble going after Kendrick Lamar, Drake’s biggest rival.
This follows some audacious remarks on Kendrick made by Top5 a few weeks following his release.
While making an appearance on Late Night With Liyah Mai, the Canadian rapper threatened to harm Kendrick Lamar.
It is evident from Top5 that K. Dot is not safe in his neighborhood.
“Tell him to visit Toronto. Swiss cheese,” he declared.
The threats didn’t end there – on the broadcast, Top5 went into great length about his strategy for defeating Kendrick Lamar should he ever cross paths with him.
“I’ll get the low; put on my Nike tech black,” he claimed.
Then, for no apparent reason, he asserted that YG, Lamar’s peer, was going to help him.
“Tell YG, get us a driver, put the window down, and get some fresh air.”
Producer Metro Boomin was also included in Top5’s offer. Naturally, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar worked together on the single Like That.
A video of him watching Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us music video was shared by Top5.
“I’m still working on my homework,” he wrote as he posted the video to his Instagram Story.
Rapper Top5, real name Hassan Ali, was freed from prison after a court rejected social media evidence that the prosecution said showed he was responsible for a gunshot death in 2021.
