Beyoncé is a global brand and a symbol of female empowerment. She has a long history of embracing fashion as a businesswoman in addition to being a fashionista.
With an estimated net worth of roughly $600 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is unquestionably a multigenerational cultural icon who rules both on and off stage.
She recently launched her Whiskey and Haircare brand in addition to her latest partnership with Levi Jeans.
But this isn’t Beyoncé’s first fashion-related partnership. We’re here to showcase a few of her numerous projects over the years, such as Levi’s, Ivy Pack, and the House of Deréon.
House of Deréon
In February 2006, Beyoncé and Mama Tina debuted their first clothing line named after Tina’s mother, Agnèz Deréon.
The mother-daughter pair was motivated to elevate the line and provide their target market with high fashion-inspired pieces that wouldn’t break the bank.
The brand gained enough success, but after a year, Deréon slashed staff and ended the junior line, gradually shutting down the brand over the following few years.
Ivy Park/TTopShop
Queen Bey partnered with Green co-founded businessman Sir Philip to launch “Ivy Park,” an athletic clothing line, four years after the closing down of House of Deréon.
The line featured tops and bottoms that take you from the gym to a casual night out, as well as swimwear and accessories, all ranging from $30 to $200.
Ivy Park/ Adidas
After the successful launch of the Ivy Park brand, Beyoncé acquired the brand in full and brought Ivy Park to Adidas for “the partnership of a lifetime.”
One week before the January 2020 re-launch, Bey sent PR packages to celebrities including Angela Bassett, Missy Elliott, Ciara, and others, further building anticipation for the collection.
Within hours of the pre-sale and only six minutes into the official release, the collection was sold out on Adidas’ website, which crashed several times due to overactivity.
However, The Wall Street Journal alleged in February 2023 that sales were declining and didn’t live up to Adidas’ expectations for the collaboration.
This was followed by a report from The Hollywood Reporter that confirmed that Ivy Park and Adidas were going their separate ways due to “major creative differences.”
Levi’s
Bey’s latest collaboration is with Levi’s Jeans, a brand that has a country appeal and also epitomizes the singer’s current country era.
Levi’s as a brand is a world’s changemakers, the Originals, as we call them, the icons.
According to Kenny Mitchell, Levi’s global chief marketing officer, the collaboration with Bey refers to a “campaign celebrating two icons.
He went on to say it’s inspired by Levi’s and our unparalleled history and impact over time, as well as Beyoncé, who’s a culture-shaping artist and icon.
