With 12 nominations, Megan Thee Stallion is reportedly the artist with the most nominations for the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
The goal of the BET Hip-Hop Awards is to pit the biggest names in hip-hop against one another for a variety of top honors, such as Song of the Year, Hip-Hop Album of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and Best Hip-Hop Video.
Additionally, female hip-hop artists have attained equality with males in the hip-hop artist of the year category for the first time since the category’s introduction in 2020.
The Houston rapper is followed by Kendrick Lamar with eleven nods,, Drake, Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj, who each have seven.
Travis Scott and Future tied at six, 21 Savage and 41 at four, and A$AP Pete Rock, Sexyy Red, Common, Lil Wayne, Rocky, and Common each received three nods.
Some musicians such as Missy Elliot, Offset, Gunna, Kid Cudi, Flyana Boss, Central Cee, and more, are also nominated.
The awards show, which will debut on BET on Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. EST, will once again be hosted by Fat Joe.
“Joe Crack is back for the 3-peat, night night baby,” Fat Joe shared in a statement.
