It may not be a perfect marriage, but Snoop Dogg is full of praise for his dear wife, Shante Broadus.
In a recent interview with People magazine, the Gin & Juice rapper touched on some intricacies of their enduring bond, and described his spouse as a “strong backbone.”
“My wife, Shante, she understands me. She’s a great mother. A tremendous grandmother… An excellent wife. A great friend, and she know how to push all of my buttons to make me act a fool or either to make me act cool, and I love it,” he was quoted saying.
The proud dad believes his experience in marriage enables him to counsel other young men. When asked to advise other people, he had this to say: “Find out what your companion loves most and concentrate on doing it the most. That’s real love.”
Indicating much commitment, Snoop again expressed confidence in their marriage growing beyond the current stage.
“How do I stay married for so long? I’ve got a strong wife with a strong backbone and a good heart…she’s loving and she’s caring, and we are meant to be together…When we said we’d marry, we married till death do us part. Ain’t that what it say? Not till arguments do us part or fighting or finances, but till death do us part,” he stated.
Snoop and his wife tied the knot in 1997 and are parents to children named Cordell, Cordai, and Cori. The rapper is also reported to have a son named Julian, whom he had outside the marriage.
Last week, the Pronto emcee decided to go memory lane, releasing an old family picture of himself and his children, which some fans have admired.
The picture showed the artist sitting on a bench with his daughter on his lap while his sons leaned on him. He added some radiant emojis to the post to decorate it beautifully. A fan hailed the celebrated performer, saying: “A real man always stays with his kids.”
While some people were happy about the post, others questioned why the picture did not have Snoop Dogg’s third son, Julian Broadus.
