Singer John Legend has shared adorable pictures of two of his children returning to the classroom as the academic year begins.
Early this week, Sept. 4, posted the images on Instagram as his daughter Luna, 8, and son Miles, 6, celebrated their first day of 3rd and 1st grade, respectively.
Both kids were seen holding up a chalkboard that indicated their age and the grade they were going into as they posed outside.
Miles appeared in blue jeans and a light gray top, while Luna wore denim shorts and a white top, pairing it with sneakers.
“First day of school for the 1st and 3rd graders,” the singer wrote in the caption.
Legend has four children: Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren, with wife Chrissy Teigen, 38.
In a recent interview, the musician spoke about which of his four children prefers his wife Teigen over him.
“Chrissy’s everyone’s favorite, except I might have Esti…I think because she’s at this space where she sees me leave now, and when I come back home, she’s super clingy,, and she just wants to hug my leg and make sure I don’t leave her.”
“So I think because I leave more, she’s more attached to me when I come home,” he said, teasing, “I have one out of four,” John stated.
The multiple award-winning star, recently also talked about working on a music compilation for children, roping in his eight-year-old daughter Luna.
The All of Me hitmaker said Luna was helping design the cover art for the singles on the album titled My Favorite Dream.
“I’ve had Luna design the single art for each of my singles from the children’s album I’ve been working on. That’s been pretty cool. Having my daughter design my single covers was a first,” he stated.
The first of the art pieces were revealed on Friday, August 9, when the singer shared snippets of the album on social media handles.
John Legend said Luna, apart from designing the cover art for the tracks, also provided backing vocals with brother Miles, 6, and mom Chrissy Teigen.
“The first single is the signature anthem for the album. It’s called ‘L-O-V-E’ and it features Chrissy, Luna, and Miles singing backing vocals…And Luna designed and drew all the single covers for the album too!”, the proud dad noted.
