August Alsina has been trending on the internet after opening up about his sexuality during his conversation with Nick Cannon and his panel on Counsel Culture podcast.

The singer introduced the world to a man he said taught him about “loving and healing” and he is back in the news after a recent appearance on Nick Cannon’s podcast.

When he was asked about his love for another man and how “opening his heart has helped him, Alsina stated: “To be honest with you, bro, it’s not even me that’s opening my heart.”

Check out the clip of the conversation below.

Alsina went on to say when he was asked about loving another man. “It’s that power that’s higher than myself. I always say that the greatest gift that God could have ever given me was exposure”. To expose me to so many different kinds of people, places, and things.”

He added, “So it’s like, when people want you to define yourself as whether you’re gay, straight, bisexual, or whatever it is you were just talking about, love is much more complex than that and has much more depth. So for me, I’m just the kind of person that, because love is a language, I’m fluent in love when it speaks to me.”

The singer also said that God essentially aided him in seeing the light.

“I always say that the greatest gift that God could have ever given me was exposure. To expose me to so many different kinds of people, places, and things.”
