Actress Skai Jackson will not serve a jail term after she was arrested on charges of “domestic battery” after a public scuffle with her boyfriend.

The former Disney Channel sitcom star was arrested weeks ago; however, prosecutors have decided to forego charges in the case, according to the latest reports.

Sources indicated that prosecutors said there was not “enough evidence.” They also cited Jackson’s “lack of criminal history,” “lack of cooperation from the boyfriend,” and other factors as reasons for abandoning the case.

It will be recalled that officials were called to Universal CityWalk after security spotted the child star and her boyfriend getting into a scuffle, in which she allegedly pushed her partner “multiple times.”

The couple were said to be subsequently detained after police arrived, but they denied that they were getting physical.

However, police later arrested Jackson for “misdemeanor domestic battery” after they reviewed video footage and saw that the actress pushed her boyfriend.

The case was expected to be reviewed by authorities to determine if it would warrant charges. Skai, who was released hours later, also revealed that they were both “happily engaged and expecting a baby together.”

Nonetheless, she has been silent about her relationship, not disclosing the identity of her partner. Her followers have managed to make some calculated guesses about the male partner, all the same.

The American actress is best known for her role in the Disney Channel sitcom Jessie from 2011 to 2015, and a follow-up series called Bunk’d from 2015 to 2018.

She appeared on Time Magazine’s list of the “Most Influential Teens” in 2016, and was nominated for Best Influencer at the Shorty Awards in 2017.

Jackson began acting as a child with the independent film Liberty Kid in 2007 and was featured in productions such as The Rebound in 2009 and The Smurfs in 2011.
