The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) nominees were announced on Tuesday, August 6.

With ten VMA nominations, Taylor Swift is in the lead, with one of the nods going to Video of the Year for her Fortnight music video featuring Post Malone.

She would extend her record for most wins in that category if she defeated fellow nominees Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, SZA, and Eminem. She has already taken home four of these awards.

In addition to Swift’s Fortnight, Malone received nine nominations at the VMAs. He also received a separate VMA nomination for his song I Had Some Help, which featured Morgan Wallen.

With six nominations apiece, Eminem, Grande, and Sabrina Carpenter are in third place; SZA and Megan Thee Stallion each received five VMAs.
