Well-known gossip podcaster, Tasha K, has won a legal battle against Bishop Lamor Whitehead in a $360 million lawsuit.
Whitehead, popularly known as “Pastor Bling Bling,” said Tasha K had lied about his financial status and sued her for defamation and invasion of privacy.
Considering how frequently the gossip blogger has been sued by celebrities, this victory is a relief.
The Lawsuit Between Tasha K and Bishop Lamor Whitehead
Bishop Lamor Whitehead of New York filed a $360,000,000 lawsuit against the gossip-loving podcaster.
The case was sparked by Tasha K’s humorous comments on her podcast, Unwine With Tasha K, in which she implied how Whitehead could have “bought a $2 million property with just $10 to his name?”
The judge concluded that Tasha’s claims were probably genuine and not defamatory.
Tasha K, is accustomed to court cases, most notably one involving Cardi B, in which she was mandated to pay a large amount of money.
Regarding Whitehead, his past standing as a reliable community leader has been eclipsed by his legal issues. He was just handed a nine-year prison term for wire fraud and extortion.
The 46-year-old identified as a businessman and served as the bishop of a small Brooklyn church. He is also close to the mayor of New York City.
He was found guilty recently of deceiving the mother of one of his parishioners, promising to remodel her home in exchange for $90,000 in life savings. The pastor did not honor his promise; instead, he purchased an expensive wardrobe and a BMW.
Whitehead also fabricated bank records to obtain a $250,000 loan, and he tried to extract an additional $5,000 from someone else.
