Jayceon Terrell Taylor, known by his stage name “The Game”, says he will soon be a father again, decades after he had his first child.

The 44-year-old made this known in a recent interview, expressing mixed feelings.

In the interview snippet available on Instagram, the How We Do rapper, however, clarified that he was expecting a single child, contrary to speculations of twins.

He appeared concerned about the age gap between him and his yet-to-born child.

“I think about it in terms of years. I’m 44. When my new child is 21, I’ll be 65…That seems old,” he said.

Despite that feeling, he referred to other high-profile couples like Mariah Carey and Jay-Z, who are much older than him while raising multiple children in their mid-50s.

“I don’t know how old like Mariah Carey is…When she has to be like 10 years older than me or Jay-Z or something like that…Their next big birthday is probably 60. They’re still out here, looking young, and looking cool. So, it ain’t that bad,” he stated.

Some followers of the conversation also reacted to the notion of the singer becoming an older dad.

“44 is a mature age for a man to be a parent. More wisdom, more life,” an observer said.

“Maybe it’s just me but having a newborn at 44 sounds like a nightmare,” another added.

The Game, however, did not reveal the name of the mother of his unborn child.

Some followers believed the mother of the child is Shaniece Hairston, a reality star The Game was spotted with last year.

Their relationship was made public in December 2023 as sections of the public scrutinized their 13-year age gap.

Hairston, 31, revealed her pregnancy on Father’s Day on Instagram, sparking widespread speculation about the identity of the father.

“Another trip around the sun and in my purest birthday suit yet. Oh and Happy Father’s Day baby daddy,” she wrote in the post.

Some media outlets at the time confirmed that The Game was the father of the unborn child.
