Rapper and singer, Post Malone, has teamed up with another country heavyweight, Luke Combs, on a single called Guy For That, as he prepares a project next month.
The sound arrived Friday, July 26, with a music video. Post’s complete country album titled F-1 Trillion will be ready on August 16, 2024.
On Guy For That, which is gaining momentum on streaming platforms, Post Malone and Luke Combs sing about how they know people who can fix all kinds of things, but they can’t find someone to help out their ex with her broken heart.
The single comes months after Post Malone worked with Taylor Swift on Fortnight, a single off Taylor’s 2024 album The Tourtured Poest Department. He also worked on chart-topping I Had Some Help, featuring Morgan Wallen, and with Blake Shelton on Pour Me A Drink.
Music critics seem to be impressed with Post Malone’s emerging trend of collaborating with an established country song hitmaker on the singles he has released so far.
Post Malone’s latest melody precedes his North American Tour scheduled later this year. The trip dubbed the “F-1 Trillion Tour” will begin on September 8, 2024, and is planned to end on October 19, 2024.
The Sunflower composer is expected to perform “a collection of country songs” at his concerts, following his seeming transition from rap to country music compositions.
Beginning the tour in Salt Lake City, he will journey through New York, Boston, Atlanta, and other cities before touching down in Nashville, the home of country music. Tickets started selling at 10 am local time on June 26, 2024.
Fans have been asked to pre-save Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s Fortnight became one of the most streamed songs on Spotify after it premiered.
According to an independent monitoring outlet, the song exceeded 200 million streams on Spotify, with the official YouTube video for the song reaching 52 million views as of Thursday, May 9, 2024.
