Due to a recent sighting, fans of the former American Idol judge Randy Jackson are quite alarmed.
Between 2002 and 2014, Randy Jackson starred on several seasons of American Idol, becoming a well-known face on television.
On Monday’s brand-new edition of Reality Club Fox, Randy, 68, made an appearance and it appeared that he has shed a significant amount of weight for his health.
It is reported that viewers found it difficult to focus on anything other than his trimmed body.
The star’s trim figure and sharp jawline were on full display when he took the stage although Jackson has previously disclosed having a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis in 2001 and had discussed the disease in Body With Soul, his book published in 2008.
According to Jackson’s health and fitness book, “having a life-threatening illness that you can’t totally get rid of, but you can manage it, is a curse.”
At the time of his diabetes diagnosis, Randy Jackson allegedly weighed 350 pounds.
The veteran music industry insider had gastric bypass surgery in 2003 to help him shed 100 pounds. Randy, however, started gaining some of the weight back following the surgery.
To maintain his optimum weight, the now-68-year-old television veteran also had to make lifestyle changes.
Jackson outlined his secrets for staying in shape in a 2008 interview with WebMD. Knowing when to put down your knife and fork was one of his nine “top secrets” for successful weight loss.
