A suspected stalker of Taylor Swift was arrested by police as the singer performed at one of her recent shows in Germany.
The incident reportedly took place at the pop star’s show in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
An unidentified American man, who was said to have had a ticket for the show, was taken into custody outside the venue after police became aware of his alleged threats against the award-winning performer.
According to reports, the man had made threats against the Midnights singer and her partner Travis Kelce. Organizers had, therefore, tipped off authorities about the alleged stalker’s behavior online.
The man’s identity was not been disclosed as a court ordered that he should be held until Saturday.
Taylor Swift is known to have faced issues with obsessive fans. At the start of the year, for instance, it was reported that an alleged stalker had been arrested for a third time in five days outside her New York home.
The suspect in that incident, 33-year-old David Crowe, was first arrested outside the singer’s townhouse in the Tribeca District after he allegedly tried to enter the residence.

The Tortured Poets Department recorded 1.4 million copies in traditional album sales in the US on the first day it was released, making it Swift’s best-ever record sales week in the United States.
Taylor Swift also set another record as she claimed the top 14 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart, with all the songs on the album, led by Fortnight, making it to the list.
“You’ve outdone yourselves, this is unbelievable,” she wrote on social media, thanking her fans for supporting the album.
