Pop Queen, Megan Thee Stallion, has initiated a philanthropic mission in her hometown, Huston, Texas.

The influential talent and her Pete and Thomas Foundation have partnered with Bread Of Life, Inc., another not-for-profit organization, to support the aged during natural disasters.

Her initiative dubbed the ‘Emergency Power Program’ , will ensure that senior citizens in the locality have access to power during natural disasters.

The comes on the back of Hurricane Beryl, which blew through the city, leaving at least 18 people dead and two million people without power.

“It’s been painful to watch the elderly population in Houston suffer without electricity during these devastating storms,” the rapper said in a statement announcing the program.

“That’s why we want to partner with Bread of Life to take a strategic approach to this problem and secure generators to help protect our senior citizens. We need to do our part to provide our elders with the best resources possible to withstand future emergencies,” the singer added.

Meghan began the Pete and Thomas Foundation non-profit in February 2022 to help women, children, senior citizens and marginalized communities. Bread Of Life, Inc. also aims to change the lives of those living in the Houston community by providing food and shelter for those who are in desperate need.

Last month, the Cobra hitmaker announced her self-titled new 18-track album, featuring Grammy-winner Victoria Monét, and other exciting performers.

The project has been doing well on streaming services as she prepares to shoot a couple of music videos for some of the songs on the albums. The album tracklist includes titles like Rattle, Where Them Girls At, Accent, Find Out, Miami Blue, and others.

Megan Thee Stallion describes her new album as “a kind of a rebirth” after she brought closure to  Tory Lanez shooting case recently.

Speaking about the latest album, she explained that she was not “tapping into other genres” but was rather “tapping into other sounds,” adding that she was “still very much Megan Thee Stallion.”

The American singer has been on The Hot Girl Summer Tour, since May 14, 2024. Her schedule indicated a journey through 31 cities. It started in Minneapolis, USA and she is expected to wrap up her performance in Washington, DC, on Jul 27, 2024.
