Me & U the inspiring single by tenacious Tems, has attained Gold certification in Switzerland. This was after the record sold more than 15,000 digital copies in that country.

The young Afro talent has since been decorated with a citation displayed on her timeline, which has attracted commendation from her followers.

Before this new milestone, Me & U was ranked Most Inspirational Song At 2024 BET, which took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Tems, also added another trophy to her closet in March when Me & U was crowned Outstanding International Song at the 55th NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People) Image Awards.

That was the second award in one month after she grabbed the ‘Breakthrough’ award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, becoming the first Nigerian artiste to be honored at the Billboard Women in Music event.

Me & U released on October 5, 2023,  is described as a rendition that “delves into the depths of self-discovery”  as it has resonated with thousands of audiences worldwide.

The tune reached No.34 on the UK singles chart and was also featured on former US President Obama’s 2023 playlist. In addition to other rising streaming figures, it again appeared at No.6 on the Billboard World Digital Sales Charts.

After handing over her debut album, Born in the Wild, Tems set off on her first world tour across five continents this year.

The European leg of the Born In The Wild tour began June 12, 2024, in London and will move through North America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

She announced the trip on Friday, May 10, 2024, asking fans to get tickets ahead of time. Tems, early on, teased fans with the single Love Me Jeje off the new album which ranked No.2 on the Afrobeats Chart UK as of May 6, 2024.

Born In The Wild album, according to Tems, is about her experiences and the “road rage” in the music industry.
