This America composer, Donald Glover, known by his stage name Childish Gambino has released a new single ahead of the official release of his new album.

The melody called In The Night features two female performers, English singer, Jorja Smith, and Ghanaian-American talent, Amaarae.

It was made public Tuesday, July 16, ahead of his sixth studio album Bando Stone & The New World, which will be ready on July 19. The project, described as his “most eclectic material,” is said to be the last to be released under his moniker Childish Gambino.

Glover had previously dropped the lead single Lithonia off the album early this month. The song blends a bit of punk and rock genres. In The Night is also rated as a dance track that incorporates some traits of dancehall.

Both Amaarae and Jorja Smith brought on their exceptional vocal prowess on the record, which is gradually gaining ground.

The ‘Bando Stone & The New World’ album is the official soundtrack for a new movie of the same name. A trailer of the movie was released last week, pending the announcement of an official release date.

In May, Childish Gambino announced the release of the album Atavista, which was said to be “a “complete version” of a project released in 2020. He added the song Little Foot Big Foot to the compilation.

The singer also confirmed the dates and venues for his New World tour, which will take him to the United Kingdom (UK), Europe, and Australia later in August this year until 2025. It will be his first tour in five years.

The North American leg will run between August 11 and October 3, 2024, while the European dates will take place later in the year, including shows in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, and Dublin. Amaarae is expected to join him on the tour.
