Eminem has released his new album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), issuing instructions on how fans should listen to recordings.
The rapper in a post, ahead of the release on Friday, described the project as a “conceptual album, indicating the song “might not make sense” if listened to “out of order.”
Before the post, he shared the album’s cover art, and tracklist, which includes titles like Guilty Conscience 2, but did not include the list of featured artistes.
Ahead of the new album, Eminem released the record’s second single, Tobey, featuring Big Sean and BabyTron. It followed Houdini, which was released on May 31, 2024.
Eminem’s last studio album, Music to Be Murdered By was released in January 2020 and attracted some good reviews.
In April this year, his old-time Mockingbird single crossed one billion streams on YouTube.
The video, directed by John Quigley, and uploaded to YouTube on December 24, 2009, was rated as one of the top-notch productions to join the ‘Billion Club’ on the channel.
The introspective song, which also crossed One billion streams on Spotify last year, captured Eminem speaking to his then nine-year-old daughter as he gets emotional watching childhood home videos.
Mockingbird reached No. 10 on Billboard‘s Rap Songs chart in its prime years. Its recent growth on streaming platforms has been attributed to an increase in TikTok plays before Eninem’s catalog was taken off the platform.
In May Eminem was seen at his daughter, Hailie Jade’s wedding. The intimate ceremony occurred in Battle Creek, Michigan, as the 28-year-old bride exchanged vows with her fiancé, Evan McClintock.
Eminem, also known as Slim Shady, was not just a spectator but an active participant in the celebration. Dressed in a tuxedo, he shared a dance with Hailie, creating a memorable moment that was captured.
