Ed Sheeran has added about three extra shows to his Mathematics Tour following increased demand for concert tickets after orders were opened to the public.

Tickets started selling on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, with about 600,000 copies bought in an hour, according to those monitoring the sale.

The Thinking Out Loud composer will begin the European trip from May to September 2025. Countries including Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, and Denmark are on his destination list.

An extra show has been included on his July schedule as he performs at Norway, Oslo and Ullevaal Station. The shows for August will also be extended until August 31, though it was initially planned to end on August 30.

Ed Sheeran previously took the ‘Mathematics’ tour to North America, Southeast Asia, the UAE, India, and Europe, and says the travels will “come to and in 2025.”

“Gonna be hitting most of the other places we haven’t been to yet, but the first dates to go up will be the rest of Europe, more to follow…See you next year. It was time to Stop, but then we can press Play,” he told his fans on Instagram last week.

The tickets are being ordered on his official website but fans in Rome, he said, can start making orders at 9 am CEST on July 12.

According to organizers, the shows planned for the 2025 tour will employ “specially developed mobile digital ticketing technology” to ensure fans are buying genuine tickets.

“Ed and his team have a strict stance against anyone using unofficial secondary ticketing sites to try and stop fans being exploited when trying to buy tickets for his shows,” a statement from his team said.

The team is taking “precautions” regarding ticket sales after a vendor, who has been sentenced to four years in prison early this year, sold Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga tickets by buying and reselling at an “industrial scale.”
