After releasing his first single for the year, Rema is set to release a new Extended Play (EP) later this month. The EP, titled HE IS, will feature a host of young talents, sources close to the singer have said.
It is an 8-tracklist project with titles like March Am, Hehehe, War Machine, Afro Rave, and others. Last month, the Calm Down hitmaker announced the single Benin Boys for the year 2024.
The trendy rendition featured rising singer and rapper, Shallipopi, and happens to be a part of the new EP Rema will be making public soon.
Rema released his Ravage (EP) last year and proceeded on a long break afterward. The Ravage EP came with songs like DND, Red Potion, Smooth Criminal, Don’t Leave, and Trouble Maker, which all had positive reviews.
His debut studio album, Rave & Roses, arrived in 2022 and featured chart-topping and award-winning Calm Down, which had Selena Gomez to the remix.
On the new 2024 Benin Boys banger, the two exceptional talents from Benin State, Nigeria, brought their unique musical traits onto the Afrosound which has received massive endorsement since its premiere.
An official music video for the song has so far gathered 4.7 million views on YouTube. The theme of the song revolves around wealth creation, with both artistes talking about their financial progress.
When the new melody arrived, last month, fans have been wondering what else Rema had under his sleeves, and have welcomed the news about the upcoming EP.
In May this year, Rema expressed satisfaction with his works since his 2019 debut on the music scene, saying he is ‘flattered’ with the many artistes who try to “copy his style.”
“I have so many plans for evolving the sound; I’ve always been that guy who just wants to change the game…change how the game is perceived, from sound to show branding.
“Even though some artistes will not give me that glory, I know how many people have copied my moves and I am flattered by it…it shows I’m bringing something to the game,” he told Rolling Stone in an interview.
