Female rap legend Missy Elliott is set to take a break from her much-anticipated Out of This World tour to host a party event in Los Angeles, on July 10.
Party on the Plaza: An Out of This World Experience, hosted by Missy Elliott in collaboration with The Music Center and Gloria Molina Grande Park, is open to the public at Jerry Moss Plaza.
It is free and open to the public starting on July 10 at 7 p.m. PST. Elliot is scheduled to greet the audience onstage at 7:30 p.m. A “can’t-miss surprise” is scheduled to cap off the hip-hop icon’s exciting evening after the dance party.
Before Elliott’s pair of headline shows at the Crypto.com Arena on July 11 and 12, the celebration, including live DJs and her tour dancers, aligns with the recently announced Out of This World Dance Challenge.
Produced by Wright Productions and Monami Entertainment, Party on the Plaza is supported by Monster Energy, Adidas, and PATRÓN EL ALTO Tequila.
“As a cultural destination in Los Angeles County where dancing and artistry thrive, The Music Center is proud to be a vital part of Missy Elliott’s OUT OF THIS WORLD Dance Challenge — it is an exciting opportunity to highlight L.A.’s vibrant dance community and encourage people to be creative and connect. Bring on your best dance moves, Angelenos, and get ready to share them with the world!,” Rachel S. Moore, president and CEO of The Music Center said.
Elliott’s thirty-date North American tour began on July 4 with a sold-out show at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, with DJ Navarris, Timbaland, Ciara, and Busta Rhymes among the performers.
Her next show is on Saturday, July 6, in Seattle, after which she will travel to California. Elliott’s tour, which is really her first headlining run despite having a decades-long career behind her, ends on August 23. You can view the places she will be visiting on her official website.
