Michael B. Jordan and Propel Funds have participated to provide the WalkGood LA studio with the tools it needs to make a name for itself in the health and wellness sector for all yoga fans.

In an interview with AfroTech, Michael B. Jordan stated, “We wanted to start it off in Los Angeles and open up the first physical space at The WalkGood Yard. We were looking for different organizations in LA.”

“WalkGood LA will be able to extend its brand and reach a wider audience with the help of this space, which will allow them to expand their programs and workshops in a convenient location,” Jordan continued.

“We’re creating spaces for other organizations in 2024. We’re opening under one roof, establishing a revolving space for up to sixteen organizations to get together and have a room to occupy, rather than going to them.”

According to the press release, the Propel Your City Project will open physical locations where neighborhood leaders in fitness and wellness will provide community members with free classes.

Newark, NJ; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; and Los Angeles, where WalkGood LA was able to be the first, are the locations of the spaces.

Michael sees the project as a fantastic illustration of how the community should relate to exercise, wellness, and health.

Furthermore, Jordan’s vision is in line with working with Etienne Maurice of WalkGood LA, whose main objective is to make health and fitness enjoyable and accessible for the community.

After Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor were murdered, Maurice organized protests to demand justice for Black lives.

He then founded the organization with his sister, Ivy Maurice, and cousin, Marley Ralph.

Maurice said to AfroTech, “We started during the movement and made it our mission to remind people that this is not just going to be a moment; this is a movement.

“We were acutely aware that some individuals were no longer able to breathe with us as we were urging folks to do so. Consequently, how do our programs honor their lives? Moreover, well-being and health have a role in it.”

While Maurice was setting up shop and creating marketing material to entice others to join their movement, he acknowledged that he was not a yogi at the time.

WalkGood LA will be able to expand its mission of fitness and health initiatives starting August 3, 2024, thanks to the relationship with Jordan and Propel’s Propel Your City Project.

Michael’s entire family has taken part in a Walk Good activity.

Etienne Maurice claims that the way everything worked out was practically a heavenly arrangement.

“Since Michael loves his family, that is what makes him so wonderful and acknowledged that WalkGood LA is a family-run business. After observing the work our family does, he made the decision to back our cause,” Maurice revealed.

Michael B. Jordan’s recent health journey may have been influenced by his role in the “Creed” franchise.

He was, however, really inspired by his family’s dedication to preserving their general health.

“My athletic ability has always come naturally to me. And I survived for a very long period on that,” Jordan remarked.

Michael also revealed that his mother has lupus, and has always been a fervent advocate for her.
