“Despicable Me 4”: Is Pharrell Williams Joining The Beef As New Soundtrack Sends Shots To Drake?

Some fans appear to be convinced that Pharrell Williams has joined the list of musicians bashing Drake after listening to his new song Double Life.

The song will be on the upcoming Despicable Me 4 soundtrack, which is scheduled for release on July 3.

Williams has overseen the movie franchise’s compositions since its launch in 2010.

It however appears the producer, designer, and artiste is going after Drake in the most recent episode.

He raps on the song, saying, “Lie detector time. Hey, what are you hiding? There is nothing wrong with being private. Just make sure it’s not wrong.”

Pharrell and Drake have been in enmity for years, even though their conflict hasn’t been as public as Drake’s with Kendrick Lamar.

This feud may have started with Drake’s 2023 appearance on Travis Scott’s song Meltdown in which he asserted that he had really burned down a chain that the frontman of N.E.R.D. had previously put up for auction.

In the song Family Matters, Drake asserted that Williams was the owner of every piece of jewelry in Lamar’s home.

When Williams co-produced the 2021 song Wasting Time, which featured Drake and Brent Faiyaz, he had the chance to resolve their issue, but he never did.

However, given that Kendrick Lamar has already dropped four back-to-back songs bashing Drake, maybe all bets are off for a new beef.

Strangely, Kendrick also makes an appearance in the October release of Williams’ planned LEGO-animated biopic, Piece by Piece.
