Afrobeats talent, Asake, is hitting the road next Thursday. He will first make a stop at the Afronation Festival in Portugal on June 20 before moving to other cities including London for the Wireless Festival on July 13, 2024.
The Lonely At The Top hitmaker announced his schedule for the trip he calls the “Lugun Boy Tour” on Monday, June 10, saying he is “super excited”, and asked fans to secure tickets ahead of time.
Lungun Boy is said to be the title of his upcoming third studio album. Details of the new project are scanty as the artiste is yet to make public statements on the production.
His newly announced tour is scheduled to end in October 2024. It is unclear if he will pull any surprises on the journey regarding the upcoming album. Sources close to the artiste say the new album will be ready by mid-year.
Last month, the official music video for the hit single Lonely At The Top, off his second studio album Work of Art, reached 50 million views on YouTube. The single, released in June 2023, had many positive reviews and was featured on former US President Barack Obama’s 2023 playlist.
Early this year, the singer nicknamed “Mr Money with the Vibe” released an exciting video for the Amapiano rhythm Only Me, described as one that “takes the listeners on a journey of love, triumph, and self-discovery.”
The song was among the top tracks on the Apple Music Chart in Nigeria during the first week of release and generated 11 million streams on Audiomack weeks after it premiered.
