Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has recently commented on the high-profile feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, commending both artists for their contributions to reviving the art of lyricism in rap.

During a promotional interview with Entertainment Tonight for his upcoming role in The Garfield Movie, Snoop Dogg shared his thoughts on the ongoing beef that has captivated the music world.

Snoop admired Kendrick and Drake, highlighting how their rivalry has raised the bar for song-making and lyrical content.

He acknowledged the increased quality of writing in the industry since the feud began, noting that both rappers have pushed each other to elevate their craft.

The Donald Trump admirer referred to them affectionately as his “nephews” and clarified that while he supports both, he remains neutral and views the conflict as personal business.

The veteran rapper also emphasized the feud’s positive impact on the industry. He noted that it has made it clear that mumbling and gimmicks can no longer suffice in producing hit songs.

He appreciates this shift back to substantive lyricism and thanks Kendrick and Drake for setting a higher standard.

The Doggfather became somewhat embroiled in the feud after Drake used artificial intelligence to mimic Snoop’s voice in the controversial diss track “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

The song, subsequently removed following legal action from 2Pac’s estate, featured a computer-generated Snoop Dogg delivering pointed lines about Kendrick.

In response to the AI-generated track, Snoop took to social media with a humorous reaction, bewildered by the song’s attention. His brief Instagram clip captured his surprise and amusement as he humorously questioned the fuss surrounding the track before wishing everyone a good night.

Interestingly, Snoop Dogg’s subsequent reposting of Taylor Made Freestyle on his Instagram Stories and the caption “90s Hip Hop Forever” sparked further fan speculation.

Some interpreted it as a co-sign, while others remained skeptical, given Snoop’s longstanding relationship with Kendrick, marked by multiple collaborations and their memorable Super Bowl performance.
