American singer and actress Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson have reportedly resolved their ongoing domestic issues, leading to the cancellation of an initial hearing scheduled for July 16, 2024.
According to reports, Palmer’s attorney filed legal documents to take the case off the calendar, suggesting that the estranged couple may have settled their differences out of court.
While the report speculates that Palmer and Jackson, who share an 11-month-old son, have resolved their dispute amicably, the exact details remain unclear. It is possible the hearing was simply postponed pending further mediation.
The outlet also alleges that Palmer has dropped her request to retain sole custody of their son, though this claim has yet to be independently verified.
Brother of Darius sued Keke Palmer earlier
This development follows a tumultuous year for the couple. Earlier, Sarunas Jackson, the brother of Palmer’s ex-boyfriend Darius, sought a restraining order against Palmer and her mother, Sharon Palmer, accusing them of making false allegations. However, a judge denied this request.
The drama began when Keke Palmer filed for a restraining order against Darius Jackson, accusing him of physical abuse during their relationship.
A court granted the temporary restraining order, mandating that Darius stay away from her and their son, Leo. Palmer’s filing included detailed accounts of several violent incidents, painting a disturbing picture of the couple’s troubled relationship.
In one incident from 2022, Palmer alleged that Jackson slammed her on the floor and slapped her head repeatedly. She described another episode where Jackson allegedly grabbed her by the neck and body-slammed her on the stairs. Palmer supported her claims with footage of an alleged attack in early November, where she says Jackson grabbed her neck and face.
In response, Darius Jackson filed for a restraining order against Palmer, claiming she was abusive towards him. He alleged that Palmer admitted to hitting him and becoming verbally abusive after consuming alcohol.
