Singer Sean Kingston was arrested during a live concert performance at Fort Irwin, California, on fraud and theft charges.

The arrest occurred as Kingston sang his 2010 hit Eenie Meenie to an audience of U.S. Army personnel.

Law enforcement officers, who had been observing the event, moved in to detain him on stage. Kingston was then booked into a San Bernardino jail and now awaits extradition to Florida, where the charges were filed.

Earlier in the day, a SWAT raid on Kingston’s mansion in Florida led to the arrest of his mother, Janice Turner, on similar charges.

Following the raid and his mother’s arrest, Kingston took to social media to assert his and his mother’s innocence, claiming that their legal team was handling the situation.

Sean Kingston bought $100k TV and failed to pay

The charges against Kingston stem from a lawsuit filed by Ver Ver Entertainment LLC, which accuses the Beautiful Girls star of breach of contract and fraud.

The lawsuit alleges that Sean Kingston contacted the company to purchase a large TV and sound system worth over $100,000, promising promotional videos featuring Justin Bieber.

After paying a $30,000 down payment, Kingston reportedly failed to make the second payment of $47,000 and did not fulfill his promise of social media promotion once the TV was installed.

He also had a $1m issue with a watch company

This is not Kingston’s first brush with allegations of unpaid debts. In November, luxury watch company Dream Watch filed a petition seeking over $1 million for two unpaid watches, a Richard Mille Model RM 65.01 Automatic and a Patek Phillipe Calibre.

The company claims Kingston contacted them in 2022 to purchase the watches and had a representative fly from Malaysia to Los Angeles to deliver them.

However, Kingston allegedly never transferred the funds, citing issues with his bank and eventually ceasing communication altogether.
