Big Daddy Kane, a revered figure in the hip-hop world, has expressed his disinterest in the ongoing battle between Drake And Kendrick Lamar.

In a conversation with The Art of Dialogue, the Juice Crew legend shared his perspective on why he lost interest in what many have hailed as the greatest rap battle ever.

Kane, who is no stranger to rap beef, pointed out that his lack of interest was not due to the rappers themselves but rather their fanbase.

He expressed his frustration with the fans’ focus on fact-checking rather than appreciating the artistry of the lyrics. He emphasized that the essence of a good diss line lies in its creativity and impact, not in the veracity of the claims made.

Kane further explained that the fans’ incessant need to critique and decipher lines made the experience unenjoyable for him. He urged fans to appreciate the music for what it is, rather than getting caught up in the drama.

Big Daddy Kane is not alone in his sentiments. Questlove, the drummer for The Roots, also recently disapproved the feud. He criticized the unsubstantiated allegations, even going as far as to declare that “Hip Hop is truly dead.”

Questlove lamented the lack of skill displayed in the Drake – Lamar feud, likening it to a wrestling match. He called out the audience, predicting that the same fans would soon be posting ‘rip’ posts.

Drake forced by 2Pac estate to take down Kendrick Lamar diss

Meanwhile, Drake’s diss track against Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Made Freestyle, has been removed following legal threats from 2Pac’s estate.

The song, using AI to mimic 2Pac and Snoop Dogg’s voices, was pulled down after a 24-hour takedown notice.
