Rapper Drake has added a sprawling estate in Texas to his impressive property portfolio. This move comes as the artist faces some drama at his Toronto mansion.
According to RoundTop, Drake purchased a 313-acre resort in Chappell Hill, Texas, a serene location just 45 minutes from Houston. The property cost $15 million and is a welcome addition to Drake’s real estate collection.
The property, known as The Inn at Dos Brisas, was a resort that closed its doors in July 2022 due to financial issues brought on by the COVID pandemic. However, in October 2023, Drake swooped in and made the property his own.
Constructed in 2002, the estate boasts four casitas for guest lodging, an entertainment lodge, a commercial kitchen, a climate-controlled wine room, a large pool with multiple smaller ones, a full equestrian facility, and even a horse track.

In September, Drake mentioned the purchase with a country-themed social media post. He shared his excitement about going country and mentioned that the property had ten horses, four of which were boarding horses. He explained that people need a nice place to board their prized ponies.
During a tour stop in Houston earlier that week, Drake first shared the news about his purchase. He expressed his excitement about finally finding a place outside of Toronto where he feels he belongs. He concluded with a country accent, announcing that people would be seeing him around.
Interestingly, nearly a decade ago, in 2014, Houston honored Drake with his very own “Drake Day.” It seems fitting that he would settle in a city that has shown him so much love with this new purchase.
