Rapper 21 Savage has responded to Soulja Boy’s threats in an escalating online feud. The Crank That rapper had previously threatened to “smoke” 21 Savage, leading to heated exchanges.
The conflict began when Soulja Boy launched a tirade against 21 Savage, also known as the Slaughter Gang boss, a few days ago. This was in response to 21 Savage defending his close collaborator, Metro Boomin, from a similar online attack.
Soulja Boy called out Metro Boomin in a tweet over a decade ago, giving him 24 hours to delete it. In response, 21 Savage simply wrote, “Or what?” in an Instagram comment.
This led to Soulja Boy targeting the Atlanta rap star on Instagram Live, where he made violent threats and questioned his street credibility.
21 Savage later responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he defended his transatlantic background. He wrote about his experiences growing up in Atlanta since first grade, including getting shot and going in and out of juvenile detention.
He also called into question Soulja Boy’s ties to Atlanta, accusing him of being a “crackhead.” 21 Savage claimed that Soulja Boy hadn’t been to Atlanta since 2001 and accused him of being a drug addict. He also posted a screenshot of a news article suggesting that Soulja Boy’s finances were in the red after a judge forced him to settle his debts.
The feud took a darker turn when Soulja Boy wished Metro Boomin a happy Mother’s Day, which was seen as a taunt over the death of his mother. 21 Savage responded by warning Soulja Boy about the consequences of speaking about someone’s mother in such a manner.
The drama was sparked by a 2012 tweet from Metro Boomin that somehow landed on Soulja Boy’s radar. The tweet read, “My phone rings to come to the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down.” Soulja Boy hit back at the super producer on Instagram Live, but Metro Boomin has yet to respond.
