TidalWave Comics is excited to announce the newest addition to its celebrated comic book series, Female Force, which focuses on women empowerment.
The forthcoming issue shines a spotlight on legendary entertainer, Janet Jackson. The 22-page narrative is said to chart the highs and lows of the American pop star’s career.
The publication by TidalWave Comics is part of its Female Force series and was released on Jackson’s birthday, May 15.
The comic book will also delve into the history of Jackson, the youngest member of the Jackson family.
From her childhood, surrounded by superstar siblings and their manager/father, Jackson’s life was steeped in music and performance.
The book traces her journey from a child actor to a music superstar, touching upon the infamous 2004 Super Bowl halftime “wardrobe malfunction” controversy that impacted her career.
According to the release, the series has chronicled the lives of many influential women and has showcased an impressive lineup of distinguished figures, encompassing authors, business tycoons, entertainers, journalists, politicians, and activists, such as Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, Gloria Steinem, Selena, Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey.
Jackson’s comic book will offer “a fresh and electrifying perspective to the series” and fans have the option to enjoy the softcopy and hardcopy editions can be easily accessed across various platforms, including Amazon.
The featured comic will also be available for digital download on platforms such as Kindle, iTunes, ComiXology, Global Comics, Google Play, Overdrive, Library Pass, Biblioboard, Nook, Kobo, and other eBook retailers.
The comic is written by Michael Frizell, illustrated by Ramon Salas, and features a cover designed by the renowned Pablo Martinena.
