The feud between 50 Cent and Diddy is far from over, as the former took another shot at the latter for his decision to boycott the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Diddy, who is nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album award for The Love Album: Off The Grid, announced that he will not be attending the prestigious ceremony, citing his dissatisfaction with the Recording Academy’s lack of diversity and recognition for Black artists.
In a statement released by his representative, Diddy said:
“I have decided to stand in solidarity with my fellow artists who have been overlooked and marginalized by the Grammys for too long. I believe that the Academy needs to make fundamental changes to its voting system, its categories, and its leadership, in order to truly reflect the diversity and excellence of the music industry.”
However, 50 Cent, who has a long history of beefing with Diddy, was not impressed by his rival’s stance.
He took to Instagram to mock the embattled rapper for his choice, implying that he was afraid of losing.
“Wait puff I think you should go they not gonna give you no trophy LMAO get the fvck outta here,” 50 wrote, along with a screenshot of a HipHopDX article reporting on Diddy’s boycott.
50’s post received mixed reactions from his followers, some of whom supported his trolling, while others criticized him for being disrespectful and petty.
This is not the first time that 50 has taken aim at Diddy, he has been taunting the music icon over the past few months over the sexual assault allegations levelled against him.
