50 Cent says Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has a real chance of beating his upcoming sex trafficking case, but only if he can get Joe Tacopina to join his legal team.

The rapper shared his opinion on Instagram, pointing out that Diddy would need to move quickly and spend a lot of money to land Tacopina.

He believes the well-known lawyer could help Diddy avoid conviction if given enough time to prepare.

Joe Tacopina, who recently helped A$AP Rocky win his shooting case, confirmed that Diddy has contacted him several times ahead of the trial, which is set to begin next month. He said he hasn’t made a decision yet but is open to hearing what Diddy has to say.

Despite being open to the conversation, Tacopina previously said he was not interested in taking the case.

One reason, he explained, is that he has strong ties to Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by JAY-Z. Tacopina works with several people at the company and considers them close friends, including JAY-Z and Roc Nation president Desiree Perez.

He said those relationships could make it difficult for him to represent Diddy, especially since JAY-Z and Diddy don’t seem to have a close connection anymore.

According to Tacopina, people used to want photos with Diddy at events, but that didn’t mean there was a real friendship.

Tacopina has gained more attention in recent years for defending high-profile clients. Along with A$AP Rocky, he has worked with Donald Trump and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

After winning A$AP Rocky’s case, he said Rocky and Rihanna were so happy with the outcome that they joked about naming their next child after him.
