Rap legend 50 Cent has upgraded his investment portfolio as he officially commissioned a new production studio known as G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The ultra-modern facility was opened on April 18, 2024, and is set to provide opportunities for players in the creative industry.
It is also expected to “boost job opportunities and economic growth and spark a new era of prosperity and creativity.”
50 Cent told reporters at the launch that G-Unit had always been a platform for voices that “need to be heard and stories that need to be told.”
“Bringing G-Unit Studios to Shreveport is not just a business decision; it’s a commitment to fostering talent, creating opportunities, and building a community that thrives through creativity and innovation. We see Shreveport as a beacon of inspiration and creativity.
“As someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television, I’m beyond excited to introduce the expansion of my G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of G-Unit Studios right here in Shreveport,” he stated.
The rich culture and talent in the city of Shreveport, according to company officials, was a perfect setting for the company to thrive.
“We are eager to collaborate with Mr Jackson and G-Unit Film & Television to bring captivating movies and entertainment to Shreveport and Caddo Parish….We are thrilled that G-Unit Studios will plant its roots in Shreveport,” an official added.
Launched in 2005, G-Unit Film & Television Inc. has produced lots of content across different platforms and networks, including its popular television series ‘Power.’ The company currently has many shows running on its network, such as BMF, Raising Kanan, Force, Ghost and others.
