Rapper 50 Cent has expressed displeasure with Jason Derulo’s defense of Diddy, who is currently embroiled in legal issues.
The tension escalated when TMZ questioned Derulo about whether Diddy should be considered “innocent until proven guilty” amid his legal trouble.
Derulo, who kicked off his career by penning songs for Diddy, among others, responded briefly, affirming his belief in the principle of innocence before guilt.
His comment did not sit well with 50 Cent, who has been consistently mocking Diddy since the latter was first accused of sexual assault by his ex-girlfriend Cassie in November.
Cassie accused Diddy of multiple incidents of sexual assault, including more than 15 years’ worth of physical, sexual, and mental abuse. The singer-songwriter filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023.
50 Cent disagrees with Jason Derulo over Diddy
50 Cent took to Instagram to voice his thoughts on Derulo’s comments. Sharing a screenshot of TMZ’s headline, which read “Jason Derulo Says Diddy Is Innocent Until Proven Guilty Amid Federal Drama,” he warned Derulo sternly, hinting at potential incriminating evidence.
This warning referred to claims made by producer Lil Rod that Diddy possesses hidden camera footage from his parties, allegedly showing several celebrities, artists, music label executives, and athletes engaging in illegal activities. The surveillance footage was confiscated during recent Homeland Security raids on Diddy’s properties.
“Shut the fvck up ! 😆let me find out you on one of them tapes boy,” he said.
50 Cent denies link with Ciroc Vodka
Meanwhile, 50 Cent has publicly distanced himself from vodka brand Cîroc, amidst swirling rumors that he was set to replace Diddy as the brand’s ambassador.
The speculation was put to rest when he clarified that he had no interest in forming a business alliance with Cîroc.
He stated his preference for owning his brands over being an ambassador for others. He also observed that the popularity of Cîroc seemed to wane.
