50 Cent has rubbished rumors that sought to imply that he is using a prescription for a weight loss program. He reportedly lost over 40 lbs recently and has credited it to working out.

In the year 2022, the 21 Questions hitmaker hit the Super Bowl Halftime Show with the performance of a lifetime, while recreating his iconic music video for In da Club, from over 20 years ago, where he was captured working out in various scenes.

Soon after the historic outing in Los Angeles, 50 was fat-shamed and his performance quickly became a meme.

Even though some critics have argued that he relies on Ozempic to achieve his body goals, he countered that the assertion is far from the truth.

In a post on Instagram on Thursday, January 25, 2024, the rapper opened up on how he achieved results. “Everybody talking about weight loss. I was in the gym. I was working the f— out, man. Who says Ozempic? I was running,” he said. “I was running, I was doing what I had to do.”

He went on to say that he is currently on a tour and running around, leading to a drop in weight from 253 lbs. to 210 lbs.

Weight loss drugs such as Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Ozempic have gained popularity, with celebrities like Tracy Morgan revealing he uses the latter.

The NPR reveals that Ozempic has been referred to as “the worst kept secret in Hollywood,” with stars like Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, and even Elon Musk admitting to having taken it.

According to UC Davis Health, Ozempic, known generically as semaglutide, was approved in 2017 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in adults with Type 2 diabetes. It is a weekly injection that helps lower blood sugar by helping the pancreas make more insulin.
