Atlanta rapper 21 Savage performed at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto and thrilled fans by bringing out the 6 God himself, Drake.
The duo electrified the crowd with performances of their hit collaborations, Rich Flex and Knife Talk. Despite Drake’s ongoing feuds with major rap figures like Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, and Metro Boomin, 21 Savage reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Toronto native.
The crowd erupted in applause as 21 Savage praised Drake, calling for the audience to make noise for the hometown hero. Drake, in turn, expressed his love for 21 Savage and the city of Toronto, ensuring fans felt the strong bond between the two artists.
As a frequent collaborator with Drake and Metro Boomin, 21 Savage has found himself in a precarious position amid their tension.
He addressed the situation earlier this month during an Instagram Live session, making it clear that he remains neutral and hopes for a resolution between his two brothers.
The tension surfaced again over the weekend during another Instagram Live session. When Metro Boomin jokingly called him “OVO Savage,” referencing Drake’s OVO brand, 21 Savage removed Metro from the stream and responded humorously but firmly, highlighting the playful yet strained dynamic.
The Toronto show was part of 21 Savage’s American Dream Tour, which started on May 1 and will run until June 15. With support from artists like JID, Nardo Wick, and 21 Lil Harold, the tour promotes his latest album, also titled “American Dream.”
