Three top African musicians, Sarkodie, DarkoVibes, and King Promise, will give guests a special treat at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France, when they mount the ‘Station Afrique’ stage on the sidelines of the games on August 9, 2024.
All three acts, who are already unique in their style, would be hoping to boost their reputation on the international stage during showtime.
King Promise, for instance, recently pulled a massive crowd during his musical tour in Asia, and fans would be expecting a similar captivating performance as he delivers songs from his repertoire.
Rapper and Songwriter Darkovibes is also known for hit records like Inna Song, Je M’appelle, Stay Woke, which have all received good endorsement from fans over the years.

An official opening ceremony party at Station Afrique is scheduled for Friday, July 26, 2024, with an array of concerts to keep fans engaged at the Olympics. It includes water games, music, catering, dance, workshops, and others.
Sarkodie needs no introduction as he remains a king in his own right, releasing top bangers since inception. Early this year, he announced his Championship mixtape, a collection of rap music, which continues to gain wide listenership.
In December 2023, his single Otan (hatred) made a debut on the Billboard Afrobeats chart in the United States. The song gathered over two million streams on Audiomack alone, in its first week after it premiered.
The track, a blend of contemporary hip-hop and traditional Ghanaian sounds, became No.1 on YouTube in Ghana, with lyrics of the audio reaching over one million streams on the platform.
The Station Afrique site, in Paris, is expected to welcome more than 1,300 visitors daily and serve as “a critical meeting point” for fans and lovers of the Olympic Games and its global diversity.
Other artistes who will be perform at the venue, which will accessed free of charge, include Senegalese artist Youssou Ndour, who will stage a concert at Africa Station on Sunday, August 4, 2024, alongside rapper Dip Doundou Guiss.
